TUCSON, Arizona — For 34 years, Guy Atchley was KGUN-TV's main anchor. While reporting was his vocation, still photography continues to be his avocation.
"It's a moment in their history and you never know what's going to happen next," said Atchley.
Today, he loves to capture the moments of his grandson, Paden Good, a sophomore who leads Catalina Foothills High School baseball in both hits and runs.
"I love him but it really bothers me that his voice is deeper than mine," jokes Atchley.
"Obviously, he misses being on camera but he's loving every bit of being off and being free," said Good.
On this night in which Catalina Foothills lost to Desert View, , Guy snapped photos of Good making his first pitching appearance of the season, and scoring his team's only run.
"This is the ultimate for me," said Atchley. "To be out here is fantastic. Every day that I'm able to get out here and smell the grass and watch that boy play, it doesn't get any better."

Since he graduated from the University of Tulsa in with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Radio/Television Speech, Guy received more than twenty first-place awards for excellence in reporting.
During Guy&#;s tenure, the Associated Press honored KGUN 9 News with the award for Best Newscast in Southern Arizona seven times. In Guy swept the Arizona AP awards by winning three first-place honors including: Best Serious Feature, Best Light Feature, and Best General Reporting in the State.
Guy also was honored for his reports on living conditions in China in the documentary &#;China: &#; And in October of , Guy traveled to the Middle East for a documentary on Israel&#;s quest for peace. That documentary, plus Guy&#;s news reports and speeches to expose intolerance and bigotry, earned him the Human Relations Award presented by the Jewish Community Relations Council.
Besides reporting from several foreign countries, Guy also traveled the United States. He has covered space shuttle launches in Florida, racial tension in the South, and immigration policies at the U.S./Mexico border.
